Just a reminder that Monday Multi Level Rueda starts tomorrow. 7pm- 8:30pm, University Heights Community Center. Dennis and Carlos will be doing a half hour of footwork as a warm up.

Every Friday we feature live music with Arturo Rodriguez & Friends plus 1/2 hr free dance lesson 9:30 to 10. Dance till 1 am. We close at 2.
THIS SATURDAY: We have Bamba Brazil in a farewell performance by Keiko Freitas for our Brasil Carnaval evening. Prizes for best costume and more. 9:30 to 2 am. General $15. Ladies & Members $10

I know there is lots of stuff going on this weekend, but the ‘Sones are playing at monas this Saturday Feb 13, 9:30-12:30. We’ll be playing there the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. There is a small space to dance, so stop by and bust a move or two!! -kevin

Ijo Ayanmo, which means Dance of Destiny in Yoruba, is a vibrant performance ensemble that celebrates the Spirit of African and Afro-Cuban music and dance. The group draws upon the vast heritage of the Afro-folkloric spiritual legacy of the Ancestors. Shawna Hawk, founder and Artistic director, integrates her unique comprehensive background in African, Hawaiian, Afro-Puerto Rican and Afro-Cuban song and dance in the style of her group.

Body Movement for Dancers Workshop- Saturday 23rd at 7pm .
Todo Bien Studios 5417 Meridian Avenue 98103 in Wallingford
This workshop is for all dancers as it stresses isolations, pausing, gesturing, and extensions. The music is a mixture of Hip hop, Reggaeton, Salsa, African beats, and Tango. An excellent workout. Drop-ins welcomed. Price $10.00
Looking for Rueda dancers

Hey there. I am in need of 6 to 8 experienced Rueda dancers for tonight’s (Monday the 11th) beginning Rueda class at the Phinney Ridge Community Center. Class time is 7pm and it is free for you because I need to get my beginners used to moving efficiently around a circle. If interested please call me at 206 450 9004 or just show up.
