Posted by on 26 Apr 2012 | Tagged as: Cuba, Culture, Events, Music, Social

Hi everyone,

I’m posting this for our friend Adam Vance..see you there !!!! Dj Baracoa aka David y Eglis

Adam says ” I’ve just renovated my house, there is no furniture in the living room yet and the wood floors are wide open. Time to dance! So I am having a Cuban-style dance/house warming party this Saturday April 28th.

Please join us and help me to break in the new dance floor (albeit gently with shoes-off and socks only because the floors were just redone…) – we can christen the new decor and raise a glass together. Feel free to bring music if you like, an extra bottle or appetizers to make sure we are well equipped for a fun evening of dancing. Standing room only, no furniture btw… :)

Please feel free to fwd, but pls keep the invitation among our Cuban friends…

Here is my address:

4216 NE 113th st
Seattle 98125

Starts at 8pm til…?

See you this Saturday! ”

Apologies for Sierra Maestra after-party cancelation

Posted by on 01 Apr 2012 | Tagged as: Events

My most sincere apologies to everyone who went to Cafe con Leche at Club Sur last night. Due to Sierra Maestra’s tight tour agenda the event had to be canceled last minute. Plus there was a different event at Club Sur. Again, I apologize. Until next time.
Cheers!

Cheaper Hotel for Rose City Festival

Posted by on 15 Mar 2012 | Tagged as: Events

I noticed that the Red Lion at the Quay, which is on the riverfront, is $99/night on Priceline, with free parking, fridge and microwave–things the Hilton doesn’t have. And it is just a couple blocks from the Hilton. Looks walkable: 0.2 mile per google maps though it could be a desolate trek at 3 am.
