Hi everyone!

If you’ve not come out yet to join us on Alki this summer, or if you missed last Friday, fear not, you have one more chance.

Yes, the time has come. This coming Friday (Sept. 9) will be the last of our beloved casino on the beach nights. Sad, but true.

Come on out and join the rest of the gang for one last dance on Alki.

Ismael has the floors in his car, and will need some help unloading and setting up, so if you can get there in the 6:00 -6:15 timeframe, I’m sure he’d appreciate the help.

I know, it is September, but have no doubt, we will be setting up on Alki tomorrow for our weekly beach soiree.

Since it is a holiday weekend, and since there is also another beach party hosted by Jim Chow from 5:30-10 by the Statue of Liberty, if some of you want to head to that before coming down for rueda.

Hi everyone!

What a great last four days of dancing, eh?

Today’s rainy Monday weather prompted me to think that we are more than halfway through our Friday night dances on Alki for the summer. With fall approaching, I would like to bring up the need to find a suitable home for our dance floor, where it can rest flat to keep its shape for more dances next summer.

Lets talk this coming Friday, as I think the weather is supposed to take a turn for the better. I will update the blog in the afternoon if it is looking ‘iffy’.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed casino at Alki: Beautiful night, beautiful people, loads of fun! Did you see the moon over the Seattle Skyline at the end? Fantastic!

Weather.com predicts 76 degrees and sunny this evening, so I’ll plan to see you all there.

If some of you can arrive to secure a spot, it would help tremendously if you got there by 6 at the latest. Luis, Aisha, Jain, Chanya, thank you for doing this this season.
For those arriving to help with unloading and setting up the floor, I will be there at 6:15-ish

Ok, so great weather all week, then we get 50 degree weather!

In any case, chances of rain are very low, but it is bloody cold for dancing on the beach! Here’s hoping the weather will make a turn for the better, and it looks like it will indeed get better (though I can’t believe it from looking outside right now).

If it does not improve, unless I hear others are still interested in having the event, I’m inclined to cancel. In which case, I’ll have to have someone else take the floor afterwards because I do not see myself staying past 8:30

Hi gang! I don’t think I’m being too optimistic when I say I’ll plan to see all of you at Alki beach tonight.
Forecast calls for sun, and I’ll plan to be out there between 5:45 and 6 pm, so if anyone else can get there by then or before to stake out a spot and help set up the floor, that would be fantastic! Please let me know via email or text.
Eddie, will you be there as well, with música para gozar?

Hola casineros!

We are planning on dancing tomorrow at Alki, same spot across (or as close as we can) from Duke’s. However, if there are cancellations due to weather, we will post it on the blog no later than 4 pm.

Because of uncertain weather, it has been decided to cancel the Alki beach party tonight. Hopefully we will get real summer weather soon!
