Floor tile transporter for June 23-30*

2501 Alki Ave SW, 98116. You’ll find the dance floor right on the sandy beach across the street from Duke’s Chowder House and Blue Moon Burgers near 58th Ave SW.

Set up by volunteers from 5:30-7 PM. Music and dancing from 7-10 PM.

Dances take place every Friday night all summer as long as it’s dry, at least through Labor Day weekend in September.

Sunglasses, sunscreen, shoes you can get dirty, and maybe a jacket for sundown are great ideas. Optionally bring food or drinks to share. Alcohol is not allowed at the public beach, but friends and passersby are always welcome.

*Flooring transporter details:
We need a volunteer to transport the dance floor to/from Alki Beach June 23rd-30th. The job consists of picking up the dance floor on Friday June 23rd at Alki Beach at around 10 PM, storing it for the week, then dropping it back off at Alki beach on Friday June 30th at around 6 PM. You don’t have to be at the beach the entire night, just in time to pick up and drop off the floor.

Flooring transporters need enough trunk space to fit the stacked flooring tiles measuring about 3′ W x 3′ D x 18″ H. Plenty of volunteers will be available to help unload, assemble, disassemble, and load the floor each week. Leave a comment with dates you can volunteer to; DJ, help set up, pack up, or transport the dance floor.

Special thanks to Stephanie, Raquel, Jocelyn, Carlos, Brynn, and Kelly for helping keeping things going these last two weeks!
