From Maiensy:

Hola, amigos en Seattle! Hello to my beautiful Seattle community! I just returned from a three-month-long trip to Cuba and family. I hope this message finds you all well, and may these words reach your loved ones and people around you as well! In regards to my new series, please note that FB does not allow me to announce an event for over two weeks. This series of classes runs eight weeks through June 26/27. Two of those classes begin this week, on Wednesday and Thursday. I have clarified the information (see below) but please let me know if you have any questions. You can choose how frequently you want to meet from an option of 1 to 4 days a week. We will go from 7:15pm to 8:30pm in a Queen Anne location. Once you click GOING on Facebook, I will personally contact you to go over details in a private message. Thank you all for your support and interest in Cuban culture.
Sending you love and looking forward to this!

“Dance allows us to feel welcomed and loved, from a place of warmth as personal and familiar as our name, beyond islands and continents, beyond politics, beyond the most provocative of words. Dance challenges our elemental understandings and invites us to enter ungraspable realities. Dance is as nurturing as it is daring: a reminder of the endless possibilities inherent to our greater sense of belonging.”
