Remember, we’re meeting at Folklife this Sunday, May 29 (not at Sonny’s). Meet at Fisher Plaza, 4:30 to 6:30 pm. The rooftop party follows at 7 pm, just 4 blocks away. See you there!

Hello Everyone,
I still have two Seattle Rueda T-shirts for sale. One Men’s T-shirt (size L) and one Women’s T-shirt (size S). $20 each. I will bring them with me to Folklife Festival at our guerilla rueda spot on Sunday.
My goal is to sell these two before getting another order going for everyone. So please help me sell them. Only two left. Una bulla!

Guerrilla rueda is a Seattle tradition, so come and join the rueda de casino at Folklife this Sunday!
When: Sunday, 4:30-6:30 pm
Where: Fisher Plaza
(the concrete area in front of the lower level of Fisher Pavilion, where all the contra dances are held)
What: Rueda de casino!
I think it would be great if there’s enough of us to host two circles: a demonstration circle plus a basics circle that can invite passersby to join the fun.
Remember:
- Folklife is free (donations accepted).
- Wear shoes comfortable for dancing on concrete.
- Wear your Una Bulla! T-shirt.
- Bring a potluck dish for the rooftop salsa party in Belltown afterward.
- Don’t go to Sonny’s this Sunday. We’re all going to be at Folklife instead.

Hello from the east coast. I just visited the blog and am glad it is still alive and well, and realized that this May is its 3rd birthday (I still remember all the emails back and forth to get it started). Good job to everyone that still contributes and keeps it going.

When: Sunday May 29th from 7-11 pm
Where: Rooftop of the Moda Apartment building in Belltown
2312 3rd Ave. Seattle, WA 98121
For entry, call me on the intercom at the entrance and you’ll be buzzed in. Look me up listed as “I.West/513” on the intercom using the “A-Z” buttons.
Bring: something tasty to eat or drink. Barbecue grills are available.
Music: Latin music of the Salsa, Mambo, Cuban, and Timba variety. Be our guest DJ, by bringing some favorite CDs or your iPod.
Notes: Wear comfortable casual shoes and leave the stiletto high heels at home. The floor surface is made up of deck boards, which is best suited to simpler street-style moves. Fancy spins won’t go over too well. Bring a sweater or jacket for later. It’ll get cool after sundown.
Welcome, Sunshine!
You love the sun.
You love to eat.
You love to drink.
You love musica.
You love to dance.
You love your friends.
You’ll love indulging in all the above AT THE SAME TIME at the Rooftop Salsa Potluck Party! Come over four blocks from the Seattle Center Sunday evening after getting kicked out of the Folklife Festival for performing guerrilla acts of Casino Rueda. Pre-funk before heading three blocks over to See Sound Lounge for that crazy Memorial Day Eve salsero crowd. And let’s send off one of my best friends, Tapuwa, with a loca fiesta, and re-acclimate him to his party-centric hometown of Miami.
