Hi Everyone,
It’s that time again where the requests for performances are in high demand. I am needing at least 4 leads and 4 follows who would like to perform on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 7-9pm at Pierce College in Lakewood. Last year, it was a great team (Dennis, Andre, Jay, Desiree, Christina, Georgia, Nadja and me). We even had a group photo taken at the banquet. You might have seen the group shot on my facebook page.

It would be a one-song performance and I already have a listing of the moves I would call. All the leads wear black and all the follows wear teal or purple. (Those are the theme colors for the banquet). Anyone interested? So far I heard from five people: Eddie, Jessica, Barbara, Francis, Israel, Betsy and me. We need two more leads. Anyone interested? As long as I have an even group of leads and follows, that would be great for me.

I would like to set up a practice for this event on Friday, May 14th and Saturday morning of May 15th. That Saturday is also the day that the U-District is having a street fair and Betsy would like to have a demo done at this as well. So, that said, we could practice on Saturday morning before the street fair gig and use the same routine for the May 21st gig at Pierce College.

I would like to suggest that the Friday practice be in Tacoma where I have access to a wonderful ballroom space for practicing. Then on Saturday morning we can meet outside (weather permitting) at the park up on the Queen Anne Hill called Kerry Park that has the nice view of the Space Needle. This could be the place for our first video of “El Space Needle.” or we can meet up at Seacrest Park in West Seattle in the morning and then go to breakfast afterwards, then go to the U-District Street Fair.
