From Elspeth via the Seattle-Cuba list :

We’ve got quite the combo lined up for this Friday, tomorrow, at St
, with Julio Jauregui on piano, Dean Schmidt on bass, Chris Stover on trombone, Carlos Cascante sitting on on vocals and percussion, and
yours truly on vocals and percussion. Will do our brand of pan latin jazz
and throw in a good dose of son for dancing. Here’s the scoop from John
at St Clouds:

Dear Friends, Countrymen & Revolutionaries,

Please join us Friday, April 30 as we celebrate the eve of May Day at St.
Clouds. Taking a cue from our neighbors to the South in Cuba and Latin
America who celebrate International Workers Day, we’ll serve Cuban food specials, Mojitos and Cuba Libres, and party all evening with a hot Latin band, purveyors of gyratable Cuban son music, latin jazz, and the best in celebratory music. Dinner and cocktails all evening, live music from 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. Check out www.elspethsavani. com

A very popular evening the last few year, lots of diners, lots of
revelers. Hope you’ll join us for dinner or just for a few mojitos and
great music. Call or email for reservations. Yours in celebrating
workers and community, John and Pablo
