Dear dancers…

Posted by on 19 Sep 2009 | Tagged as: Instruction

Hello everyone. As I have written about earlier on this blog, Chen Lizra is about to return to Seattle on October 9th to give both private lessons and workshops over that entire weekend. We are in the process of deciding what workshops would be truly be the best to help you develop as dancers.

In order to gauge interest I have included here the potential class schedule for Saturday and Sunday the 10th & 11th of October. None of this is yet set in stone.

Saturday

Advanced Rueda with Mike(Rumbanana),

Salsa Sueltas , AfroCuban movement, Son, Cha Cha Cha, (Males and Females) with Chen Lizra

Sunday (Females only) Sabor, Seduction workshop, Reggaeton

Information below is from the website www.latidosproductions.com/

Reggaeton - the hottest and sexiest Puerto Rican/Panamanian dance that’s taken over the world. This is a mega fun workshop which introduces you to the basics. Come and learn the latest moves from Havana, Cuba. Learn how to move and behave sexy. This workshop will add flavour to your life!

  • Sueltas – the latest trend in Havana, combining Salsa with Reggaeton and other hip moves. Energetic and fun. Danced without a partner in lines. Just like playing with your friends.. Did we mention a great workout?! And great for your solo sections…
  • Cuban Son, Cuban Cha Cha Cha, Cuban Mambo and Cuban Rumba - the authentic and traditional dances of Cuba which will enrich your dancing and life. Beautiful, seductive and sensitive.
  • Afro-Cuban Movements and Orishas dances - African movements require the body to be loose and relaxed while having exact control, and different body parts doing different things at the same time. This workshop will give you a taste of Afro-Cuban dancing focusing on core body movements coming from Orishas, Salsa, Son, Rumba, Despelote and others. Instead of focusing on a specific dance, we focus on the core movements that enrich your movements and make you look amazing on the dance floor.
  • What to do in your Solo Sections - ever wondered what to do when you let go of your partner and need to dance solo in Salsa?! This workshop will give you the basic tips of adding flavour to your dancing and playing with your partner
  • The Seduction Workshop - do you want to have sabor = flavour?! Do you want to know how to seduce the other person with just an attitude?! We’ll work on seduction through seduction walks – for women only!
  • The “Sabor” Workshop - Where you will learn how to do mix two and more different movements at the same time. For example: your feet will do one thing while your chest another. This workshop helps develop Sabor (= flabour) because it  allows you to control your body parts in a way that allows you to play, tease and learn more complex moves.

Again,  please comment so that I can take a quick poll and then come out with the final class schedule early next week.

Thanks.

Dennis
