   Hi Aisha, Me and my friends went to Vegas in April, don’t waste your time going to Sams town. Its lame. Also we were told to go to the Rio for Sunday salsa, when we got there it was not even open.

   Not Surprising – I am quite disappointed with SalsaPower. Even the South Miami events calendar not kept current – and the woman who runs the site is from Miami !!! Too bad since it is a good resource.

   I was thinking about trying either Roxy’s or ND’s Fuego…Any opinions on those?

   I’ve had some success with emailing the contact person listed at the top of the page. Response rate is about 50/50. Just depends on the city and the responsiveness of the contact person.

   We ended up going for ND’s Fuego since it was closer, only to find out that the owner has gone bankrupt 6 weeks prior.
   Lucky for us, Rio has a club called Voodoo on their top floor with different music playing indoor and outside on the rooftop. They played mostly top 40′s music, Gloria Estefan seemed to be a recurring theme, and some reggaeton on the rooftop.
