We still need your music

HI again! It was brought up again yesterday that people are not happy with the music at sunday practice. Guess what! If you are coming , you are very welcome to bring some music you like. I have a limited selection and it’s all of our practice… so we can all contribute! It’s very welcome if you bring some. Try to incorporate Cuban music as much as possible in ratio to LA salsa since we are doing a cuban dance. Thanks much!!

My $.02 I have a very large collection of both Cuban and non-Cuban artist music. The music ranges in style from Bolero’s to Son with every variation in between, including merengues’ and cumbia’s written and performed by Cuban musicians.
If someone knows of a particular style of music, say son or timba and what the of beats per minute (BPM) they want I would be happy to try and put a playlist together and burn a CD. If you have a particular song or artist in mind that would help also.
If the people who are not happy with the music would like to talk to me privately to express what they liked and disliked it would help to find music that all could work with.
As to the Cuban vs LA Salsa I think that was a bad label. The music that was played yesterday, IMHO, was excellent for the learning process as it ws not to fast or to slow. The fact that it was Frankie Ruiz and the Grand Combo of Puerto Rico should not diminish the fact that it was appropriate for what we needed. BTW Thanks Chris for taking the time to put that together.
So the gauntlet is thrown for those who are complaining about the music. Ball’s in your court.
Oh I can be reached at eddiea24@comcast.net for those who want anonymity from the group
